State Champions (again!)
1969- A high school football coach told a freshman try out that they had run out of helmets and maybe he should wait until next year and try out again.
…He didn’t.
After 4 years of playing high school football at Capuchino High School, …and 4 years of playing college football at Willamette College,
…and teaching PE in high school and coaching football for 30+ years,
…and being part of 4 Oregon state championships,
…including winning the state championship at Mountain View high school in 2012,
…and being voted the 2012 5A coach of the year,
2015- Steve Turner did it again at Cascade High School.
